After the loss of the current Blockzilla block, we have had a huge void in our engine line. In years past we have been known for our reliable and consistent engines, especially the Stage 4 through 6 engines. Over the summer our design team worked hard developing the new ZR line of engines. The goal was to develop an engine that would be reliable, consistent and priced similarly to the engines we assembled using the Blockzilla block. The result is the ZR line of engines. As with the Titan engine, the ZR engine uses a billet block. But how do you get the cost in the same range as the Blockzilla and other after market cast engines? The material selected for the ZR is still stronger then competitor's cast blocks but not as strong as the material used for our Titan Engines. Another factor in the cost of the engine is being able to use existing manufactured parts. The only new parts that were designed specifically for the ZR line is the head, head gasket, sidecover, breather and new line of camshafts. All other engine components are currently available. The final factor in keeping the costs the same was being able to CNC port the engine blocks. As with any product, when you are able to produce the same product in quantity, it cuts the cost of the product. The same is true with the ZR block.

As you can see the design team has worked hard to develop the ZR Engine line with you in mind. As always, the ZR Engine line is manufactured and assembled under JR RACE CAR high quality standards. We do our best to provide all of our customers with the best value priced products.
